Flashback to 2019!
Well, this is an absolute nostalgia moment. The past couple of weeks has been a real time of reflection and looking at photos and videos from the last 8 years. I just stumbled upon a video and some imagery of one the most memorable shoots we've ever done. Back then we teamed up with an incredible group of creatives who have since become our biggest cheerleaders and dear friends. This shoot also turned out to be our most downloaded and is still making waves today.
A little glimpse into how this came together in 2019 -
I cannot for the life of me remember how I met Em from @forloveandliving but when I did we instantly clicked. We are both naturally introverted, we both love food, we both love linen, silk and texture, the list really does go on and on! Em and I will speak to each other about concepts and we both just get it which I love. Em trusts me and I trust her, it’s the perfect pairing.
When we started speaking about how this particular shoot would look. I wanted to incorporate freestanding clouds with beautiful lengths of draping billowing silk from @songbirdsilk (of course we would have to have Tamara a huge part of this because us three really do work as one) that I had been dreaming about creating for almost a year. Em asked me to draw a picture which honestly looked like slugs but the trust had already been established and she told me go with it and do you! I did and I absolutely adore those pieces, I love the texture, the whimsy they bring to an altar space with the copper and stone stands and the softness of the silks. A mixture between harsh, minimal and texture.
To have seen it come to life was a dream come true, with some of my girlfriends around to cheer each other on in their natural fields was the absolute best feeling ever. And to be able to see the whole thing come to life through a beautiful film captured by @wallflower_weddings brings tears to my eyes.
What an honour it is to do what I get to do every day with the other creatives we know and cherish and our wonderful clients.
Even more of an honour is that this shoot was published on the Lane!!! @the_lane dreams x infinity!!
I hope you enjoy this video as much as we all do xxx
